MilitaryCAC uses several remote access programs:
The needed file will download automatically to your computer You'll be prompted to Save or Run. Once it is saved, double click it. You may need to select Yes to allow the app to make changes to your device Once it loads, you'll be presented with a 9 digit number you will provide to Michael
Alternate Splashtop (Use if above link is not working)
Windows Instructions Remote Desktop using the Chrome Web browser on your computer
-Click the blue GET STARTED (button) -You may be prompted to DOWNLOAD CHROME or CONTINUE ANYWAY (buttons) -Click Remote Support -Click the blue GENERATE CODE. This is the number you will provide to Michael -Once Michael types it onto his computer, select Share
Mac Instructions Remote Desktop using the Chrome Web browser on your computer
-Click the blue GET STARTED (button) -You may be prompted to DOWNLOAD CHROME or CONTINUE ANYWAY (buttons) -Click Remote Support -Click the bluish circle download arrow (lower right corner of screen) -Click the blue Add to Chrome (button) -Click the Add extension (button) -Save the file somewhere on your computer -Click ACCEPT & INSTALL (button) -Click blue Yes (button) -Double click the Chrome Remote Desktop Host.pkg object -Click Continue -Select Install -Enter your computer password, then click Install Software -Click GOT IT -Click the blue GENERATE CODE. This is the number you will provide to Michael -Once Michael types it onto his computer, select Share -Click Open System Preferences (button) -Click the padlock, enter computer password, then check the box next to RemoteAssistanceHost -Click the padlock again to lock it -You may be prompted to grant access in a few different areas
Windows 10 & 11 users ONLY: Search for Quick Assist and double click it -In the Code from assistant box, enter the 6-digit code Michael provides you, then click Share screen -Wait for Michael, then select Allow in the window that displays
