 ACTIVATING THE eSIGN / APPROVEIT OPTION IN WORD & EXCEL 2010 & 2013

 

Up until 25 January 2013, the option to use ApproveIt in Office 2010 & 2013 did not exist, thanks to an email received from 1SG Michael Murphy, it is now available for 32 bit version of Office ONLY (meaning it will not work if your version of Office is 64 bit).  The below instructions are what I did to restore it on my computers.

 

 

If you already have eSign 6.6 installed and still have the Silanis_eSign folder, follow these instructions:

ApproveIt 6.5 instructions are below

 

1.  Open the Silanis_eSign folder that was created when you Extracted the Silanis_eSign.zip file during installation

2. Double click the setup.msi file (if you don't see the file extension, look for the file size of 45,299 KB)

3. Select Modify, then Next

4. Select the down arrow next to the red X by e-Sign for Microsoft Office

5.  Click:  Will be installed on local hard drive

6.  You are now ready to modify the Application, select Next

7.  You will see it Updating your System

8.  We hope to see this screen, select Finish.

9.  Open Word or Excel 2013 and see if ApproveIt shows up across the top of the document or spreadsheet.

10.  If it is not there, follow either of these guides:  Word, or Excel

 

 

11.  A restart of your computer may or may not make it fully 100% functional.

ApproveIt 6.5 Instructions

 

If you have deleted the ApproveIt folder from your computer, you'll need to run the ApproveIt65.exe file again like explained on the ApproveIt installation page

 

If you already have ApproveIt 6.5 installed and still have the ApproveIt 6.5 folder follow these instructions:

 

1. Open the ApproveIt 6.5 folder that was created by running the ApproveIt 6.5.exe file during installation

2.  Double click on the Source folder

Look for Source folder

3.  Double click the setup.msi file

Look for Setup.msi file

 

4. Select Modify, then Next

5.  Select the down arrow next to the red X by ApproveIt for Microsoft Office

6. Click:  Will be installed on local hard drive

7.  You will see the Red X (from step 5 above) has changed to a hard drive icon, select Next

8.  You are now ready to modify the Application, select Next
