ABOUT CHIEF DANBERRY

I am in the Army Reserve AGR (Active Guard Reserve) program as a CW3 (Chief Warrant Officer - Three) currently attending the Army Signal School 255A (Information Services Technician) WOBC (Warrant Officer Basic Course) at Fort Gordon, Georgia reclassifying from 915E (Senior Automotive Maintenance Officer).

I have been helping AKO since April 2009 with the CAC Resource Center by answering emails addressed to ako.cac @ us.army.mil and am currently the content provider for the AKO CAC Reference Center.  The current site went live on 1 July 2009.

I have been a computer geek since I received my first computer [a Commodore VIC 20] in January 1981.

I developed this website because I saw a need for this information to be available to everyone.  My personal satisfaction is knowing that I am helping people.  The best payment you can give me is to Bookmark and Share my site with your colleagues.  Donations are obviously accepted too.  I dislike banner ads, so, I pay for the webhosting, domain name registration, static IP, and SSL certificate myself to keep this site clean.

While I was deployed in 2003 to Kuwait & Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom, I worked as the SIPR (Secure Internet Protocol - Routed) webmaster for the 3d COSCOM (Corps Support Command) / V Corps Rear G6.  When V Corps moved to Baghdad, I assumed the duties of the System Administrator and became the "Go to guy" for the 3d COSCOM.  I still maintained the SIPR website, but also took care of the maintenance and administrative tasks for 3 separate networks, including 13 servers in our facility, and assisted fellow Soldiers with computer problems.

When I returned from Iraq in early 2004, I moved to Minnesota (Minneapolis / Saint Paul area).  I sought out being an IMR (Information Management Representative) for the 88th RRC (Regional Readiness Command).  I completed Level 1 IASO (Information Assurance Security Officer), IASO Technical Level 1, and the SA/NMSC (Systems Administrator / Network Manager Security Course) at Fort McCoy, WI to become a TIER Level II technician.

I have my AAS (Associate of Applied Science) degree in Network Development from Brown College in Mendota Heights, MN.

The Army Reserve started using CAC logon in May 2006.  I quickly (once again) became the "Go to guy" in my Army Reserve Center, and Minnesota.  I thought Why stop there?,  I'd couple my webpage building abilities and my knowledge of CAC and share it with you.

This website allows me to help people worldwide!!
